Sales Tax Policy
Please remember that Yoshino Japanese Antiques does not charge sales tax except for California clients, which means that delivery charges for non-California customers are offset by your savings on state sales taxes.
Domestic Shipments
All Items Except Furniture
Yoshino Japanese Antiques uses UPS Ground for the majority of its domestic deliveries (unless urgent delivery or another carrier are specifically requested). Each item is quoted individually depending on size, weight and recipient's location. Upon shipping, you will receive an email notification informing you of the shipment's tracking number. Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Furniture and Large Items
Yoshino Japanese Antiques uses several accredited freight companies for its large item deliveries. Each item is quoted individually depending on size, weight and recipient's location. All furniture is blanket-wrapped to protect it, unless specified otherwise. If another packaging method is preferred, or recommended by Yoshino Japanese Antiques, additional packaging charges may apply. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
International Shipments
All Items Except Furniture
Yoshino Japanese Antiques utilizes UPS, FEDEX or EMS for its international deliveries. Each item is quoted individually depending on size, weight and recipient's location. Upon shipping, you will receive an email notification informing you of the shipment's tracking number. Please be advised that all taxes or duties that might be assessed by the receiving country are the responsibility of the purchaser and not the shipper. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Furniture and Large Items

Damaged Shipments
In the unlikely event that an item you ordered is delivered damaged please notify us immediately. We insure all shipments, so you will receive a refund for the full value or repair of damaged items. However, you must keep all packaging materials until the shipping company has had an opportunity to inspect damaged items and their packaging. If you do not keep the packaging materials or if you proceed with return or repair before the inspection, Yoshino Japanese Antiques is no longer responsible for the replacement or repair value. |
